24 hours ago, I was sleepy, but yet putting off going to bed with important tasks such as looking at silly pictures and videos on the internet.
23 Hours ago, I was anxious. My heart was pounding, adrenaline was flowing, and I had suddenly gotten sweaty. Marci had just informed me her waters had broken.
I was expecting the baby to come early, but not 12 days early. I had a packing list, but nothing was actually packed. I had a to-do lists at home and at work, but they were not complete. I suppose that is just how it goes.
13 Hours ago, I was calm. We were at the hospital. We were timing contractions. We were ready.
A few hours later, I was overjoyed. We got to meet our son; Owen.
Marci handled the whole birth process with strength and beauty and is doing great.
P.S. If you are like me, and were curious about how babies breath liquid and then switch to air, this video is great.
